Sunshine, or rather, Sonnenschein

For a class that I'm taking this semester – Politics of the Intellectual in 20th Century Europe – I just watched Istvan Szabo's Sunshine. Quite apart from the number of great films with that title, the film is incredible. The story, which follows three generations of a Jewish Hungarian family through the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Nazism, Stalinism, and latter communism, is among the most moving you'll ever watch. Never has a film given such insight into the lives of others. Go watch it.
